Our Grading Process

Understand the condition, the checks and exactly what comes with your item.

A · B · C

Cosmetic grades from excellent to visibly used.

Function is separate

Read the listing for known faults and testing limitations.

Included items

Only the accessories stated in the listing are supplied.

How we assess a product

We consider visible condition, key functionality, available diagnostics, stated accessories and any known issues. Grading is a practical judgement rather than a claim of perfection; each used item remains unique.

Cosmetic grade

Describes scratches, scuffs, dents and general appearance.

Functional notes

Describe faults or limitations separately and take priority over the cosmetic grade.

Our grade guide

A

Excellent condition

Very clean overall with minimal visible wear. Minor signs consistent with careful previous use may still be present.

B

Good condition

Light to moderate cosmetic wear such as scratches, scuffs, small dents or light screen marks.

C

Fair condition

Noticeable cosmetic wear. Scratches, casing wear, dents or screen marks may be visible during normal use.

For Parts

Faulty / parts / repair

Not sold as fully working. Read every described fault and assume no functionality beyond what is expressly confirmed.

Testing is proportionate to the product

Testing varies by category, condition, available accessories and the nature of any fault. A test confirms behaviour observed at the time; it does not guarantee indefinite future performance. Where a product cannot be fully tested, that limitation should be stated.

Included items

The box, charger, cable, accessories and other components are included only when the individual listing states them.

Batteries

Used batteries naturally vary. Any specific health reading or limitation available to us will be described where relevant.

Product photos and multiple units

Where several units share a model and grade, images may be representative of the expected condition level. Item-specific notes remain important. If exact photographs are essential to your decision, contact us with the SKU before ordering.

Compatibility, software and batteries

  • Check the exact model, network lock status, SIM/eSIM support, ports, capacity and accessories against your needs. “Unlocked” does not mean every network band or service is supported.
  • Older devices may no longer receive manufacturer security updates or support current apps. Check the model’s support status and ask us before purchase if an app or feature is essential. Any compatibility or update promise in the listing remains binding.
  • Subscriptions, software licences and third-party accounts are included only where expressly stated. Usable storage can be lower than advertised capacity because of formatting and system software.
  • Battery runtime varies with age, settings and use. A stated health reading is a measurement at testing, not a guarantee of identical future runtime. This does not excuse an undisclosed battery fault or override a specific promise.
  • Do not assume a used device remains water-resistant after wear or previous repairs. Follow the manufacturer’s safe-use guidance and avoid deliberate liquid exposure.

Safe use and responsible disposal

Use a compatible, undamaged charger and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Stop using or charging a device if its battery is swollen, leaking, unusually hot or visibly damaged; contact us before returning it. A parts/repair description is not a statement that unsafe use is acceptable.

Electrical items and batteries should be kept out of household rubbish. The crossed-out wheelie-bin symbol means separate collection is needed. Use an appropriate authorised recycling service; do not dismantle a damaged battery. Separate collection helps prevent pollution and recovers useful materials.
